En el marco de la formación continua de los docentes de tiempo completo de la Universidad María Auxiliadora (UMAX), se dictó el taller “Gestión y análisis de datos” impartido por el Dr. Darío Alviso, investigador asociado de la carrera de medicina e integrante del Núcleo de Investigación de Bioestadística de la institución.

En la actividad, el Dr. Alviso habló sobre su experiencia en la publicación de papers científicos y los pasos fundamentales que hay que tener en cuenta, como ser la importancia de realizar la revisión bibliográfica de los temas a ser investigados. También comentó sobre las bases de datos, las clasificaciones de las estadísticas, entre otros temas enfocados desde su experticia en dicha área, con el fin de aportar a los docentes conocimientos importantes para involucrarse en la investigación científica.

Las actividades de capacitación están dirigidas a docentes de tiempo completo de la UMAX y comenzaron en el mes de mayo e irán hasta septiembre del corriente año. Las mismas estarán siendo dictadas por profesionales referentes y de primer nivel en el área de la investigación. Las capacitaciones tienen por objetivo transmitir experiencias para incentivar el desarrollo, avance e instalación de la investigación científica e innovación tecnológica.

El Dr. Alviso, quien lidera el núcleo de investigación en Bioestadística en la UMAX, es Máster y Doctor en Ciencias por la Ecole Centrale de Paris, una de las instituciones formadoras de ingenieros de alto nivel más reconocidas de Francia.

Asimismo, cuenta con un postdoctorado por la Universidad de Buenos Aires y es investigador permanente del Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET) de Argentina. Además, el profesional también está categorizado en el Nivel I del Programa Nacional de Incentivo a los Investigadores (PRONII) del Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (CONACYT), Paraguay.

 

Full-time UMAX teachers are trained in Biostatistics

Within the framework of the continuous training of full-time teachers of the María Auxiliadora University (UMAX), the workshop "Data management and analysis" was given by Dr. Darío Alviso, associate researcher of the Medicine Faculty and member of the Biostatistics Research Center of the institution.

In the activity, Dr. Alviso spoke about his experience in the publication of scientific papers and the fundamental steps that must be taken into account, such as the importance of conducting a bibliographic review of the topics to be investigated. He also commented on databases, statistical classifications, among other topics from his expertise in this area, to provide the teachers with important knowledge to get involved in scientific research.

The training activities are aimed at full-time UMAX teachers and began in May and will continue until September of this year. They will be dictated by leading and top-level professionals in the research area. The training aims to transmit experiences to encourage the development, advancement, and installation of scientific research and technological innovation.

Dr. Alviso, who leads the research nucleus in Biostatistics at UMAX, is a Master and Doctor of Science from the Ecole Centrale de Paris, one of the most recognized high-level engineering training institutions in France.

He also has a post-doctorate from the University of Buenos Aires and is a permanent researcher at the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) of Argentina. In addition, the professional is also categorized in Level I of the National Researchers Incentive Program (PRONII) of the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT), Paraguay.
